Hervé Trouillet (CEO )

Hervé began his career in a traditional animation studio in 1999. Very early on, he specialized in the domain of new technologies. As one of the founders of the web-TV “toon’s up” in 2000, he explored the boundaries between traditional animation and the newer digital tools. Thanks to his new approach to the production and development of animated works, he produced video-clips, shorts, and trailers for a large number of companies (from Jetix, to the opening movie of the Annecy festival in 2004). By the age of 32, he had developped a full-length animated film (Citeria) and produced an animated series for France3 and Canal J (Linus &Boom, 52 x 13 minute episodes, in co-production with the Korean studio SamG). As CEO for FORGE animation, one of his main responsibilities is artistic direction.

Il débute dans les studios d’animation traditionnels en 1999. Très vite, il se spécialise dans le domaine des nouvelles technologies. Parmi les fondateurs de la web-tv « Toon's up » en 2000, il explore les frontières entre l’animation traditionnelle et les nouveaux outils numériques. Grâce à cette nouvelle approche de la réalisation et de la fabrication de dessin animé, il réalise clips, courts métrages et trailers pour un grand nombre de sociétés, (de Jetix, jusqu’au film d’ouverture du festival d’Annecy en 2004). A 32 ans, il développe un projet de long métrage (Citeria) et réalise une série pour France3 et Canal J (Linus & Boom, 52x13 minutes, en co-production avec le studio Coréen SamG). Directeur général de FORGE Animation, il est en particulier responsable de la direction artistique.

Fabien Baboz (Line producer)

Fabien is the founder and director of an animation studio. He was one of the first to change production methods by integrating flash and other new technologies. For over 10 years now, he has managed animation production flows and has become one of the more important actors in French animation. Originally starting off with Caribara studios in Paris, he has expanded to develop studios in Annecy and in Montreal where he has created numerous series (among others for TF1, M6…). Right now he’s managing nine simultaneous animation production flows and has just finished helping to develop  Patrice Leconte's 3D full-length movie  (“Le Magasin des Suicides”). He is responsible for technical direction at FORGE animation.

Fondateur et directeur de studio d’animation. Il a été l’un des premiers à bouleverser les méthodes de production en intégrant Flash et les nouvelles technologies. Depuis plus de 10 ans, il gère des flux de production d’animation et est devenu l’un des acteurs incontournables de la prestation d’animation Française. Depuis Paris et son studio Caribara, l’expansion de ses projets de séries l’a amené à se développer à Annecy et à Montréal où il co-fabrique des séries (entre autres pour TF1, M6,...). Il gère actuellement neuf flux de productions d’animation simultanées et est charge de la fabrication du prochain long métrage en relief de Patrice Leconte (le magasin des suicides). Il est responsable de la direction technique du studio pour FORGE Animation.

Nicolas Romain (Strategy & finance)

In the past, Nicolas was a teacher and researcher (CNRS), and a media and new technology specialist. In the past he had worked with Hervé Trouillet, to take on the technical direction of a web studio. Thereafter, he became a consultant in organisation and innovation. In 2003, at the age of 32, he was hired by a large French company in the maritime sector working first in their finance department and then their strategy department. He is now the Finance and Strategy director at FORGE animation.

D’abord enseignant chercheur (CNRS), spécialiste des médias & des nouvelles technologies, il rejoint Hervé Trouillet, pour prendre la direction technique d’un web studio. Par la suite, conseiller en organisation et en innovation, il rejoint en 2003, à 32 ans, la direction financière puis la direction de la prospective d’une grande entreprise française du secteur maritime. Il est directeur au Finance et à la Stratégie pour FORGE Animation.

Marc Caro, artistic director

A name most often associated with Jeunet, with whom he brought in a wave of fresh blood to French cinema with the movies Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children, Caro has developed his sombre SF universe via many forms of expression, from comics to design (with Jan Kounen and Christophe Gans) as well as directing his own feature film Dante 01.

Longtemps son nom a été associé à celui de Jeunet lorsque les deux compères insufflèrent une vague de sang neuf au cinéma français avec Delicatessen et La cité des enfants perdus. Pourtant, Caro décline son univers de SF sombre sous toute les formes, de la bande-dessinée au design (chez Jan Kounen et Christophe Gans) sans oublier le cinéma, en solo, avec son long-métrage Dante 01.

Alain Damasio, author

Born in Lyon in 1969, Alain has gamboled along the peaks of the imagination since the appearance in 2004 of his second novel, La Horde du Contrevent (La Volte), winner of the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire. He explains his prediliction for telling stories from multiple points of view, and for playing with and manipulating the French language, by a deep need to enter into multiple bodies and to be taken over by them. After La Zone du Dehors was republished in 2007 (Cylibris, 2001), an anticipatory story inspired by Michel Foucault, and participating in the creation of a video game called Remember Me (Don't Nod), he is now working on his third novel as well as leading the writing team for the Windwalkers script.

Né à Lyon en 1969, Alain Damasio caracole sur les cimes de l'imaginaire depuis la parution en 2004 de son deuxième roman,La Horde du contrevent (La Volte), Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire. Il explique sa prédilection pour les récits polyphoniques, et pour le travail physique, physiologique de la langue, par un besoin vital d'habiter plusieurs corps, et de se laisser lui-même habiter. Après la réédition par la Volte en 2007 de La Zone du Dehors (Cylibris, 2001), récit d'anticipation inspiré par Michel Foucault, il s'est lancé dans la création d'un ambitieux jeu vidéo et prépare actuellement son troisième roman.
